Attention all fellow fashion bloggers! “Who out here has been victimized by SEO?”
    *raises hand*

If you’re a blogger, either old or new, you (should) know the importance of SEO and how it boosts your blog when searching for style looks. Initially when we started CCC, we had no idea what SEO was and let alone how to use it correctly. As we revamped our blog, learned more about the industry, and became more technologically advanced, we were able to start using our SEO effectively. Since then, we’re seeing our posts come up a lot more often (and sooner) within Google when we search for similar posts, and that’s exactly what we’re asking for!

If you follow Song of Style like I do, you know her long awaited book, Capture Your Style is out and many, many, many are buying it. Being someone who loves her instagram aesthetic and likes that she sticks to her own individuality, I was pretty excited about it. I wanted to learn her secrets. I wanted to know her filters. I wanted to know what she uses and why. Did Capture Your Style, capture my attention while reading? Well peruse down below to get that answer.

Hello Loves! The life of a blogger definitely can be stressful and is no Monday to Friday job. This life definitely carries over into most of my weekends but I love what I do so there isn't that much that I would complain about. Especially with my new decked out computer skin and phone case from CaseApp, it makes the weekend's work load a little easier to tackle! I love how you can customize your own collage and put together different combinations of patterns, prints and logos to make the perfect laptop skin and phone case! It adds such a flare to my desk and writing space and I love how easy it was to create.

The most powerful, scariest and alluring color in my opinion. It is beautiful in all its glory.

I love wearing it and most importantly, I love being it. Black that is. But this is not a black pride post. Even though every time I write it is a black pride post because I am a black woman who has pride in her blackness and her creative expression a la Comme Coco.

This is about a different black.

    Black often times symbolizes death.

A year ago today I almost died.

This past May I became an official college graduate (cue celebration music!)

I felt like I had reached an important milestone in my life and I could finally get started living. Although I had many great experiences, I was never truly excited about school. I actually enjoyed work and learning new things and I’d been working from a young age so I just wanted to be in the real world. The “Real World” was like this big scary myth that everyone was worried about but I had experience working in the city so I brushed it off. I was able to get a job a couple weeks out of school through an employment agency. The agency placed me at a luxury swimwear store on Madison Ave and I got hired after my 30 day evaluation.

I found myself in this lovely city for the second time, and as they say, "Paris is always a good idea"! People talk so much trash about this city and I don't know why. Haters! Rolling up on the Eiffel Tower, and the Louve and the Arc de Tripmphe will never get old to me. I told myself I won't go back because there is so much more of the world I want to see, but something tells me this won't be the last time I will find myself in this city.

Oh Cape Town you are a gem indeed. I had no idea what was in store for my visit to this beautiful place but I was pleasantly surprised. Cape Town turned out to be an amazing island paradise. Surrounded by beautiful oceans and white sands, I was immediately in awe. Not to mention the beautiful people and the African hospitality was unparalleled. I highly recommend that if you are traveling to South Africa make Cape Town a stop it is a place you have to see to believe.

Ok- I am being a little extra with this blog post title. I mean, real talk, Travel Style: Goddess of the Desert is far from humble. Its as far as possible for me. But honestly these pictures are so amazing that I cannot help but TOOT my little horn. I have been really proud of myself and the quality content that I have been producing so yes I am confidently exclaiming it on the blog!

These are pictures from my recent visit to Aix en Provence, France.  And it was one of my stops while on holiday in late summer, 2016.  While there,  I had the pleasure of participating in a wine and cheese tasting.  So we gathered on the outdoor balcony of this cute little café for a very sexy afternoon.  I really enjoyed this outing!  Although the setting was perfect, the wines were horrible.  We sampled Merlot, Rose’, and Chardonnay.  And they were all bad…LOL!!  We also sampled six cheeses.  So there were 2 made from cow’s milk, 2 from sheep’s milk, and 2 from goat’s milk.  The 2 made from sheep’s milk were my favorite!
