Travel

Ok- I am being a little extra with this blog post title. I mean, real talk, Travel Style: Goddess of the Desert is far from humble. Its as far as possible for me. But honestly these pictures are so amazing that I cannot help but TOOT my little horn. I have been really proud of myself and the quality content that I have been producing so yes I am confidently exclaiming it on the blog!

I recently went on a girl’s holiday to Italy which was my first vacation abroad with the girls. The trip was for 5 days in total and we visited 3 cities i.e. Venice, Lake Garda and Bergamo. Italy is a beautiful land of fashion, rich in history and culture plus it is considered as one of the most extended tourist goals in the world. There is so much to do in Italy and for those who love to travel to romantic places, Italy is a must visit. On the other hand if you have interest in meanings behind art, you will find that this location is a fantastic historical and artistic puzzle.

These are pictures from my recent visit to Aix en Provence, France.  And it was one of my stops while on holiday in late summer, 2016.  While there,  I had the pleasure of participating in a wine and cheese tasting.  So we gathered on the outdoor balcony of this cute little café for a very sexy afternoon.  I really enjoyed this outing!  Although the setting was perfect, the wines were horrible.  We sampled Merlot, Rose’, and Chardonnay.  And they were all bad…LOL!!  We also sampled six cheeses.  So there were 2 made from cow’s milk, 2 from sheep’s milk, and 2 from goat’s milk.  The 2 made from sheep’s milk were my favorite!

If you follow me on Twitter (@thethoughtcard) than you would know that I am obsessed with the English countryside. Back in July I spent a week in England and despite the unraveling Brexit situation, I had a wonderful time across the pond. I spent most of my time exploring South West England including Cheltenham and Bath. I also spent a day exploring Northamptonshire in the East Midlands.

Oh Cape Town you are a gem indeed. I had no idea what was in store for my visit to this beautiful place but I was pleasantly surprised. Cape Town turned out to be an amazing island paradise. Surrounded by beautiful oceans and white sands, I was immediately in awe. Not to mention the beautiful people and the African hospitality was unparalleled. I highly recommend that if you are traveling to South Africa make Cape Town a stop it is a place you have to see to believe.

Want To Learn Some Unusual Facts About Vienna?

Vienna is known for its’ charm, imperial sights, cultural events, coffee houses, cosy wine taverns, and of course, the world famous Sacher Torte.

It is not known for anything unusual.

Early this year, and for the seventh time in a row, Vienna was voted as the world’s most livable city.

While all this is true, there are some things that are not known about Austria’s capital.

Curious to know? Here is my list of 10 most awkward and unusual facts about Vienna.

I’m the planner among my group of friends, and I always find myself planning our trips, which I like to refer to as slaycations. Although I love to travel with my husband, his career limits his availability for travel during basketball season, so I do a lot of traveling with my girls when he's busy. Girls’ trips are a lot of fun and are a great way to reconnect with friends. From trips that are solely for relaxation and leisure to those that are dedicated to turning up, there are a number of fabulous girls’ trip destinations right here in the United States.

A year after graduating college, I quit my job, packed up my belongings, and flew cross country from Virginia to Colorado on a one way ticket. In the moments leading up to my departure, my feelings teetered-tottered between anxiousness and excitement. Comforted by familiar faces and surroundings, I was that girl who didn't venture outside of her hometown for college. Moving was a way for me to be bold and adventurous. However, make no mistake that even the bold need a plan, and moving is one of those things that requires a lot of planning. Whether you're considering moving cross country or already in the planning stages, I've created a practical guide full of tips and advice on how to plan your move.

Hey y'all! As with many holiday travelers this week I'm getting all packed for my trip home soon... So I thought why not share some travel tips for maximizing the space in your suitcase! I'm excited to go home to Atlanta on Tuesday, but it's a habit for me to take more than I actually need and this trip is no different! I typically bring two outfits for each day on my trip, for me that's ten days so twenty outfits! Thanks to Southwest, at least I can make it all fit between my two checked bags (free, my favorite price)!

I found myself in this lovely city for the second time, and as they say, "Paris is always a good idea"! People talk so much trash about this city and I don't know why. Haters! Rolling up on the Eiffel Tower, and the Louve and the Arc de Tripmphe will never get old to me. I told myself I won't go back because there is so much more of the world I want to see, but something tells me this won't be the last time I will find myself in this city.
