I have always heard about people making one because they're so helpful when it comes to progressing and having that inspiration you always want, visually. So, after getting that suggestion I immediately got to it. I went to Wal-Mart and picked up the supplies which included: some ribbon/glitter tape, glue, a portrait board and lots of magazines. Once I came home, I started blasting "If You're Reading This It's Too Late" by Drake, poured myself a glass of wine and got to work.
After about 2 hours, I took a break or as some call it, went to sleep lol. I was doing the project over a course of 3-4 days because I wanted to make sure I saw everything in the magazines that I wanted to apply. Some things I may not have caught that day because my mind could have been wandering elsewhere. After I went over the magazines, I've concluded that I've taken everything out that I wanted at that point; because with a vision board, you can always add things you want later, and just keep adding.
Overall, I'm very pleased and happy with the decision of making my very own vision board. I love that I can reference to it whenever and know for a given fact that it is going to make my day better. I still have much more to add on, including pictures. I highly recommend that you make a vision board; or even if you already have one, I challenge you to put new inspiration on there each week. Plus, it makes a great craft to do alone or with some friends!
Have you made a vision board before? What made you decide to make one? Let me know!
